Inspired by the iconic Bin 707, Penfolds Bin 407 was created to showcase the character of exceptional Cabernet Sauvignon, combining varietal definition with structure and approachability. The 2021 vintage opens with alluring aromas of violets, blackberry and mulberry, layered with cherry, bay leaf, cigar box and subtle baking spice. Concentrated dark fruits drive the palate, joined by char-grilled capsicum, cumin-spiced eggplant and gentle woodsmoke, while fine, persistent tannins provide a firm graphite backbone. Remarkably approachable in its youth yet clearly built for the long haul, Bin 407 2021 has the structure to reward cellaring through to 2055.
