A blend of Corvina 50%, Trebbiano di Lugana 25%, Syrah 15%, Carmenère 10%. The grapes have been carefully chosen so that, when harvested at proper maturity, they express all the characteristics desired for our rosé.

This wine has been made utilising the traditional techniques which have made the Chardonnay of the Burgundy region in France so famous. Pegasus Bay thus adopt a hands-off approach so that until the last, or blending, stage, the wine has largely made itself.

This wine has a star bright lemon hue and while lemons, limes and mandarins come to the fore, there is a background of ripe stonefruit such as peaches and apricots. Honeysuckle and honeycomb influences come from botrytis, which has also made the wine more full bodied and concentrated. It has a spine of natural acidity and tingling minerality that helps draw out the palate structure to a citrus zest finish

Upon release it has a subtle lemon hue. The bouquet is vibrant, an intoxicating assortment of tropical and citrus. Heady aromas of passionfruit and pineapple flirt temptingly against a backdrop of grapefruit, green apple, lemon peel and a hint of gunflint. The mouthfeel is textured yet precise, with a rousing whip of acidity and simmering phenolics that give the wine increased structure and length. A complex and serious Sauvignon Blanc, displaying intense varietal character, a multi- faceted palate, and a long salivating finish.

The wine has a bright lemon hue. In the bouquet and flavour there is a complex intertwining of fruity and savoury elements. There are impressions of citrus fruits, white peaches, nectarines and greengages overlying nuances of smoky bacon, grilled mushrooms and barbequed sweet corn.

Pale gold. Intense flinty, lemon curd, white apricot and tonic water aromas with underlying vanilla grilled nut notes. Crisp yet creamy with supple lemon curd, grapefruit and stonefruit flavours, fine chalky textures, beautiful mid-palate viscosity and underlying flinty complexity. Finishes chalky/minerally with plentiful nectarine notes. A classic pure-fruited Chardonnay with superb richness and precision. Delicious drinking; should develop even more interest with bottle age.
