Established in 1980, Martinborough Vineyard is an icon in New Zealand winemaking history. The first to plant Pinot Noir grapes in the famed region, Martinborough Vineyard produces the finest Pinot Noir in the New World with a focus on 'Handcrafted Excellence in Wine.' A succulent and complex Pinot Noir showing heady aromas of dark red fruit, Asian spice and earth. The finely concentrated tannins intertwine with ripe, fleshy red fruits.

It has aromas and flavours suggestive of blackberries, raspberries, purple plums, vanilla pod, cigar-box and liquorice. On the palate there is a dense core of bright, ripe, mouth-filling fruit which is supported by an ample tannins.

The wine has a bright lemon hue. In the bouquet and flavour there is a complex intertwining of fruity and savoury elements. There are impressions of citrus fruits, white peaches, nectarines and greengages overlying nuances of smoky bacon, grilled mushrooms and barbequed sweet corn.

Produced and bottled in France. Showing a nice pale-yellow colour with golden hints, Louis Perdrier Brut Excellence offers fine numerous bubbles and a soft mousse. This wine shows yellow fruits scents combined with dried fruits aromas, brought by the Chardonnay. An elegant wine, well-balanced, pleasant and refreshing lively, to be enjoyed on every occasion.

Ironclad shows dark fruits; plums and berries, wildflowers, crushed rock, and iodine, all creating a complex and lifted aroma profile. The palate shows good density which is balanced with coastal freshness and finishes with a core of powerful tannins. A rare dominance of Merlot over Cabernet Franc gives the wine good early accessibility but clearly a wine suited to ageing.

Rich with harmonious acidity. This flagship Chardonnay expresses a medley of peach and melon flavours, overlaid with toasty oak.

With each vintage release the cool-climate Bin 128 Coonawarra Shiraz provides an interesting counterpoint to the more opulent and richly concentrated warm climate Bin 28 Shiraz. Bin 128 comprises fruit sourced from the unique terra rossa red clay over limestone soils of Coonawarra, a region that exemplifies the perfume, transparency and seductive nature of cool-climate red table wines. Coonawarra has remained the source of Shiraz fruit for Bin 128 since the inaugural release of the 1962 vintage. To further enhance the regional qualities of Bin 128, the wine is matured in a mixture of new and seasoned French oak hogsheads, élevage that was refined during the 1980s when the transition was made from American to French oak. The palate is medium-weight, relative to the likes of the warm climate Bin 28 Shiraz. The blue fruits noted on the nose are quite apparent on the flavour profile. However, the wine is orientated towards the savoury end of the spectrum. Cured meats, pepper, olives and paprika flavours vying for attention. On further inspection, almond kernels and cardamom add to the allure. The tannins are silken, finely woven around the fruit. The acid line is as neat as a pin. Everything is in the right place, a lovely wine now with decades of potential for those who can wait.

Peter Lehmann mentored countless people over his 50-year career and this wine is named in his honour. This limited release Mentor Cabernet Sauvignon is made as the best expression of their Barossa Cabernet of vintage. By drawing fruit from a number of Barossa sub-regions, it displays immense varietal definition with added complexity of fruit from low-yielding old vines matured in French oak barrels.

Named in honour of a Thorn family ancestor, William Randell Shiraz is the only single vineyard Shiraz produced by Thorn-Clarke and is sourced from the older Kabininge Vineyard. This wine is only produced in exceptional years, and in very small volumes equating to less than 1% of total production. With fruit quality and intensity second to none, this wine is aged for 22 months in 100% new French and American oak. Black and inky in colour, the complexity and concentration evident on the nose and palate are amazing. Cellar up to 15 Years.

Dark red with a bright edge. Highly perfumed nose of blackcurrant, violets and leafy undertones. The palate shows varietal purple fruits and mulled spice. The complex oak and integrated tannin leads to an excellently poised wine. A wine which is refined and balanced, walking a fine line of elegance and power.
