TWR are passionate about aromatic varieties and particularly those from Alsace so it was only a matter of time until they took on the challenge of Pinot Gris. When they first bought their property they replanted a section of the old block with the Berry-Smith clone (also known as Larkham clone) of Pinot Gris. TWR selected this particular clone especially for its low cropping, small bunches and small berries as they felt it would deliver the best quality fruit.

This wine is made from TWR's oldest vines (planted in 1979) and has gorgeous lifted aromas of jasmine, fresh lemon, and ripe Kaffir lime which follow through on to the palate. Flavours of fresh lime juice, lemon sorbet and ripe grapefruit with hints of floral spice are balanced by a fine backbone of ripe acidity. This Riesling is a dry style which has excellent fruit weight and concentration to balance the lingering mineral acid structure. This wine is finely structured with great length of flavour.

Toru is a delicious, co-fermented 'field blend' of three varieties - Gewürztraminer, Riesling and Pinot Gris. Toru has an intriguing nose with notes of mango, fresh citrus, white florals and exotic spices. These lead into a multi-layered palate with flavours of mango, citrus, red apple and lychee with a lingering spiciness. The palate has excellent fruit concentration and weight with lovely creamy texture, plus a mineral edge which gives it great length of flavour.

High in the hills of Central Otago, the Mysterious Diggings vineyard is drenched in sun and comprised of rocky terraces heavy with native schist, imbuing its Pinot Noir namesake with a fragrant sensuality and a tingling minerality.

The sun-drenched Terrace Edge descends sharply to the Waipara River, creating an exceptional place for growing organic grapes. Terrace Edge truly believe that premium wine is first hand-crafted in the vineyard. The beautiful, concentrated fruit is then transformed into artisan wines through gentle, traditional winemaking. This Pinot Gris is lush and delicious, a gorgeous rendition showing golden peach, poached pear, rich floral and subtle spice notes on the nose, followed by a succulent palate displaying excellent weight and plush mouthfeel. In your wine glass this stunning Central Otago Pinot Noir is vibrant with ruby red and purple hues. On the noses you'll find fresh dark cherries, hints of spice and an elegant waft of thyme. The palate again rich with Central Otago cherries and nuances of chocolate, intertwined with wild thyme and alluring earthy notes.

The Landing Port is richly fruited and seriously complex, the aroma rewards with dried cherry, apricot, toffee and roasted nut characters. The palate is wonderfully rich, backed by silky-sweet texture and rounded mouthfeel. A soothing fortified wine.

The Last Shepherd Chardonnay has fruit driven flavours, toasty French oak, buttery notes, and a deliciously good story. Gisborne boasts being the first city in the world to be touched by the rays of a new dawn. Sheltering high country to the west and high sunshine hours result in long dry summers. A full bodied, rich style of Chardonnay which is classic of the Gisborne region. This wine displays fruit driven aromas of apricot and melon, a textural palate balanced with buttery notes, and rounded off with toasty oak characteristics.

Central Otago is home to New Zealand's largest high country sheep stations. The original shepherds who worked these stations have moved on, yet their spirit remains. The Last Shepherd celebrate these men with this Central Otago Pinot Noir. Medium ruby red, exhibiting vibrant dark berry aromas with hints of spice and smoke. The palate is rich and savoury with dark cherry and plum fruit characters with fine supple tannins, hints of pepper and spice and a savoury oak finish.

Aromas of red apple and raspberry. The palate is ripe and concentrated, with red berries and orchard fruits. Beautifully balanced with a long fragrant finish.

A bold Hawke's Bay Syrah - Floral aromas such as lilac, violet with lifted dark berry notes appear on the nose. On the palate, flavours of boysenberry and plum with well-integrated oak influence come through. With medium weight on the palate, this wine has a hint of pepper and warm spices, rounded out with a soft and velvety finish. With its delicate flavours, this wine pairs wonderfully with grilled meats and vegetables, particularly lamb and eggplant.

Right in the heart of the magical Waihopai Valley, a million miles from anywhere, lies The Ned, one of Marlborough's most famous peaks. The Ned Chardonnay - A fruit driven Chardonnay with white nectarine and loquat aromas elevated by notes of vanilla, cinnamon and lightly toasted brioche. The palate is plush and creamy from the near full malolactic conversion, swathed in warm French oak spice with fine acid tension on the finish.
