A robust and characterful red with generous, juicy, dark berry fruit, lifted violet floral notes and exotic spice typical of this block. The palate is full bodied with good mid palate richness, and fine-grained, ripe tannins drawing out the finish. While approachable now, this wine will age positively for at least 15 years if well cellared.

A hard grape to grow and make well, Merlot performs to the highest standard in only a handful of viticultural regions around the globe. One of those regions is Hawke's Bay where it excels in our moderate climate, when grown with care and respect on the right soil types.

Church Road Chardonnay boasts of ripe stone fruits, balanced with subtle acid. Hints of oak gives this bold number toasty buttered popcorn and soft caramel aroma while equally expressing ripe fruits nectarine and persimmon. A balanced wine for those new to Chardonnay and those with experience!

Blends of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon are one of the most challenging and exciting wine styles to produce. There is a synergy between these two varieties that produces some of the most complete, complex, fragrant and satisfying styles of red wine in the world. Hawke's Bay, along with parts of the California's Napa Valley, was identified by the U.K's Decanter magazine, as one of the few New World wine regions that could challenge Bordeaux in the production of such wines.

A complex array of dense plum and berry fruits with subtle spice and violet-like floral aromas are complimented by savoury, earthy and dark chocolate undertones derived from barrel maturation and a traditional, 'old-world approach' to winemaking. On the palate, the wine is rich and powerful with a backbone of fine, ripe tannins bringing linearity and structure. This is a serious, multidimensional wine.

With grapes from the world's leading pinot noir region making a guest appearance, Church Road's award winning winemaker, Chris Scott, has hand crafted an exceptional wine that combines elegance and undeniable presence.

Aromas of fresh golden peach and vanilla, whipped cream, hazel nut and fine toasty wood scents. Youthful, familiar and inviting. A raw silk texture touches the palate first accentuated by acidity and oak then a wave of fresh fruit arrives for contrast and balance. Weighty, fresh, nutty, fruity and youthful.

Flavours and aromas range from subtle red fruits and stone fruit, through to more lifted floral, guava, gentle herbal notes and flinty, mineral complexity. A finely textured wine with subtle light berry, guava and floral notes complemented with savoury undertones.

On the nose, is a complex amalgam of dark berry fruit, cassis and roasted cocoa bean, lifted by more fragrant aromas of cedar, sandalwood and hints of dried lavender and thyme. The palate is full bodied with firm but fine-grained tannin and great length.

An elegant expression - fragrant and fruit forward, complemented by gunflint, hazelnut and nougat.

A full-bodied merlot with rich plum and berry fruits with an earthy complexity and savoury oak.

Fruit is left longer on the vine to increase concentration and accentuate the floral and spice notes of these grapes.
