Pale lemon in colour with a brilliant, diamond-like clarity, Elston Chardonnay shows captivating notes of roasted hazelnuts, cashews and citrus fruits on the nose, alongside crème brûlée and nougat. Tropical fruit, intense white peach and ripe lemon all radiate across the palate.

Sourced exclusively from Te Mata Estate's own vineyards. This Estate Vineyards Chardonnay was harvested from Bridge Pa Triangle, Woodthorpe Terraces and Havelock Hills vineyards. White gold in the glass, immediate refreshing appeal of ripe nectarine and lemon sorbet edged with sea-salt, roast almond and a hint of smoke from French oak. Delicious on its own, or a wonderful partner for both simply prepared and fuller flavoured seafood and white meat dishes.

Vibrant guava and vibrant passionfruit on the nose give way to gooseberry, coriander and aniseed on the palate - rich, complex botanicals that add alluring detail to this wine.

This Syrah includes a touch of Viognier, a traditional winemakeing technique in France's Rhone Valley. It introduces a delightful floral aroma and supple texture to Syrah's spicy dark berry flavours.

The growing conditions in Marlborough mean that it is well-suited for the production of world class Chardonnay. A relatively cool climate results in a long, even growing season which is great for flavour development. This means that TWR can make a style of Chardonnay which balances concentration and complexity, whilst retaining the finesse that a higher natural acidity brings - which is unashamedly the style they like to drink!

For TWR's main blend of Pinot Noir they prefer the flavour profiles from the southern side of Marlborough - this sub-region is called the Southern Valleys or Southern Clays. The soil types in this area of Marlborough are much older than the Wairau flood plain, they also have much lower fertility and a much higher clay component which gives the wines more depth and structure.

TWR's aim with this, their classic style of Sauvignon Blanc, is to put 100% effort into making a wine that silences all the doubters and which restores faith in this region and the amazing quality of the wines from here. This Sauvignon Blanc is a blend from specially selected vineyards in two different sub-regions of Marlborough and is all grown and made by The Flowerday Family.

TWR are passionate about aromatic varieties and particularly those from Alsace so it was only a matter of time until they took on the challenge of Pinot Gris. When they first bought their property they replanted a section of the old block with the Berry-Smith clone (also known as Larkham clone) of Pinot Gris. TWR selected this particular clone especially for its low cropping, small bunches and small berries as they felt it would deliver the best quality fruit.

This wine is made from TWR's oldest vines (planted in 1979) and has gorgeous lifted aromas of jasmine, fresh lemon, and ripe Kaffir lime which follow through on to the palate. Flavours of fresh lime juice, lemon sorbet and ripe grapefruit with hints of floral spice are balanced by a fine backbone of ripe acidity. This Riesling is a dry style which has excellent fruit weight and concentration to balance the lingering mineral acid structure. This wine is finely structured with great length of flavour.

Toru is a delicious, co-fermented 'field blend' of three varieties - Gewürztraminer, Riesling and Pinot Gris. Toru has an intriguing nose with notes of mango, fresh citrus, white florals and exotic spices. These lead into a multi-layered palate with flavours of mango, citrus, red apple and lychee with a lingering spiciness. The palate has excellent fruit concentration and weight with lovely creamy texture, plus a mineral edge which gives it great length of flavour.

The sun-drenched Terrace Edge descends sharply to the Waipara River, creating an exceptional place for growing organic grapes. Terrace Edge truly believe that premium wine is first hand-crafted in the vineyard. The beautiful, concentrated fruit is then transformed into artisan wines through gentle, traditional winemaking. This Pinot Gris is lush and delicious, a gorgeous rendition showing golden peach, poached pear, rich floral and subtle spice notes on the nose, followed by a succulent palate displaying excellent weight and plush mouthfeel. Wonderfully complemented by elegant sweetness and juicy acidity, making it hugely appealing. Certified Organic.
